The Achievement Centers for Children holds several very special events each year that raise significant funds for our programs and services. There are many ways to support our fund-raising events, including corporate and personal sponsorship, ticket purchases, auction donations, event attendance and volunteering.

Summer Camps

This summer, Achievement Centers for Children is hosting a variety of specialized camps at Camp Cheerful and our Center Ridge Rd. site in Westlake.

Camp Cheerful Camps

In our camp programs at Camp Cheerful, children and adults ages 5 and older, with varying needs and abilities, participate in a variety of fun recreational activities that encourage confidence and independence, while also creating opportunities for lifelong friendships.

On our beautiful 52-acre campus, campers enjoy traditional camp activities including: hiking, swimming, horsemanship activities, fishing, canoeing, arts and crafts, music, sports, and campfires.

Cheerful Day Camp Hosts a traditional camp experience tailored to campers ages 5-21 with disabilities Read more

Sensational Extended School Year (ESY) Camp For school-aged children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Read more

Therapy Camps

Our Center Ridge Rd. site in Westlake is the primary home of our agency’s Therapy program and a variety of focused camps will be hosted there this summer, led by ACC’s pediatric Therapy team:

Fine Motor Camp This 90-minute play-based camp, focused on building fine motor strength, will be offered in two week-long sessions for children ages 6-7 and ages 4-5. Read more

Social Language Camp This hour-long, twice-a-week camp, focused on developing vocabulary and social interaction with peers, is targeted to campers ages 5-8. Read more

Play Skills Camp This playful hour of learning will encourage young learners ages 2 to 4 to grow language and social skills. Read more

AAC Camp Designed for emergent communicators ages 3 to 6, this hour-long camp builds Augmentative & Alternative Communication skills. Read more
