Our Technical Assistance Program (TAP) is a free community outreach program that supports the inclusion of children with special needs in child care programs throughout Cuyahoga County. TAP Resource Teachers assist families in locating child care, provide training and on-site consultation to child care staff, and collaborate with community resources that benefit the children we serve. Services are offered at no cost to parents or child care providers through Invest in Children and other grants.

Our Approach

TAP believes that children are more alike than different. With planning and support, children with disabilities can be successful in child care programs with their peers. Our Resource Teachers make regular visits to child care programs to help staff include a child in regular activities and routines.

Eligibility

TAP serves children from birth to 12 years old in child care programs in Cuyahoga County.

Locations

TAP Resource Teachers will visit children in any child care program or family child care home in Cuyahoga County.
