You Can Support Our Work

Achievement Centers for Children’s Poet Laureate, Ella Hanley, has been thinking about the inequities of poverty and has written a piece for you to consider:

Does Not Matter When You Are Rich

by Ella Hanley

Let’s help the poor knowing it will help them feel better

Let’s be kind to them so they know we care

Now they will feel safer with us by their side

Does not matter when you are rich

Take a look at the poor what do you see?

We can be friends

We can help each other

We can be good helpers

Let’s help the poor knowing it will help them feel better

Let’s be kind to them so they know we care

Now they will feel safe with us by their side

Does not matter when you are rich

Take a look at the poor, what do you see?
