2017 Sparkle, Shimmer and Shine Gala

Cleveland, Ohio – On November 11, 2017, supporters of the Achievement Centers for Children will gather to honor KeyBank and Beth E. Mooney, Chair and CEO of KeyCorp, for their generous long-time support of children with disabilities and their families, and for their meaningful involvement in and dedication to Northeast Ohio’s non-profit community. Since 1940, KeyBank and its predecessor banks have been a committed and caring partner of the Achievement Centers (formerly known as The Society for Crippled Children), providing leadership on the Board of Directors, hands-on volunteer work by employees, and important and generous financial support. The event, Sparkle, Shimmer & Shine, will benefit the children and adults with disabilities and their families served by the Achievement Centers for Children.

The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Cleveland InterContinental Hotel & Conference Center and will include a cocktail reception, an elegant seated dinner, dancing, and a special tribute to KeyBank and Beth E. Mooney. A silent auction of more than 100 extraordinary items will help generate support for the Achievement Centers for Children. Sparkle, Shimmer & Shine has earned the reputation of being a premier fundraising event. Last year’s gala generated over $500,000, which directly translated into vital programming for the Achievement Centers’ clients and families. More than 400 business, community and civic leaders from Greater Cleveland will attend. Jim Kacic, CFO of MAI Capital Management, is the chair of the event.

The Achievement Centers for Children provided services to over 2,500 children and adults with disabilities and their families throughout Northeast Ohio last year. Their comprehensive service model weaves together therapy services and Intensive Therapy Clinic; recreation, camp and sports programs; autism school and family support services to meet the needs of the entire family and provide the best outcomes.

Sparkle, Shimmer & Shine is made possible by the generous support of the Presenting Sponsor, KeyBank. Platinum Sponsors include First National Bank, Fairmount Santrol, MAI Capital Management, Swagelok Company, The J.M. Smucker Company, and Sterigenics International.
