Programs & Services - Family Support

Family Support Services / Social Work Programs at
the Achievement Centers for Children

The Achievement Centers' Family Support social work services are an integral component of the comprehensive "circle of care" available to our clients and their families. Designed to meet the needs of the entire family, Family Support social work services recognize and support the significant role that a family's emotional needs can play in a child's growth and development and ultimately, his or her future success.

We work in partnership with other Achievement Centers' staff to address the unique challenges families face when raising a child with special needs. Our Family Support social work services are organized in the following categories to meet the complex needs of the entire family throughout different stages of life:

  • Mental health counseling and consulting services for children, youth and adults with disabilities
  • Support groups
  • Early Intervention home-based services in collaboration with the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities
